Have a Sangria Bar at your next Party!
At Party Host Helpers, we love a DIY food or drink station. It’s hands-on, and guests love adding their own touch. One of our helpers in Delray Beach, Florida recently set up a great Sangria Bar for her host’s summer BBQ. Sangria is perfect for any party because it can be made a day or two before and stored in your refrigerator. With the sangria ready to go, our Party Host Helper set up the bar with the beverage dispensers, an ice bucket and glasses for guest to serve themselves. To allow guests to customize their drink, she added a few bowls of sliced fruit, such as strawberries, peaches, and blueberries. For a final touch of party fun, she wrote the drink instructions on a small chalk board.
The sangria bar was a huge hit! The host let us know, “Everyone loved being able to create their own sangria by adding their favorite fruit! Thank you to my amazing Party Host Helper for setting everything up and for being so helpful.”
Here are a few simple steps to creating your own sangria bar:
1. Whip up a batch of both white and red sangria so your guests can choose. We love these two recipes with citrus fruit. Place in large pitchers or beautiful beverage dispensers.
2. Select 3-4 additional fruits like strawberries, blueberries and peaches and cut into small pieces. Place in bowls so your guests can add as much as they want to their sangria.
3. For an extra touch, add some instructions! You can try doing this on a small chalk board, or even on the computer, printing out and placing in your favorite picture frame.
4. Add some ice to a bucket and set aside the sangria. Place some festive wine glasses on the other side and let your guests enjoy!
